Tails?

Last night I took the kids out to eat at our favorite Chinese buffet. Taylor has a huge love for fried shrimp, which he then soaks in soy sauce. Sometimes we have bean there and their shrimps has no tails, other times they do have the tails and I remind him not to eat the tails.

T: These are the ones with the bones in them right Momma?

M: No babe, they don't have bones, just tails. Make sure you rip the tail off remember?

T: Yeah. *Munches on a few* Momma, so what tails do they have?

M: Huh?

T: Well, are these puppy dog tails or kitty cat tails?

M: Neither. They re shrimp tails.

T: I KNOW that... But are they dog or cat?

M: They're shrimp tails hon.

T: Oh. *Resumes munching*

A Quickie

Just a quick saying that my daughter has started with, I am sure most everyone remembers the whole "Talk to the hand.........."

Well, here is Claire's version:

"Talk to the bootie cause the face off duty!"

PS. Hope everyone had a great Easter!

Exhausted

I am exhausted this morning and so is my wallet. I took Claire to see Hannah Montana yesterday, we got there at 3:30 and got home last night at 11pm. It isn't very often that I keep the kids out that late on a week night, but it was a special Mom and Daughter day for us, so I was more lenient. I have made a mental note though, Claire was bored with the concert about 30 minutes in to it so we spent the majority of our time at the carnival. There isn't much she will get on, but she loves to people watch, she gets it from her Momma. :)

Today is going to be a llloooonnnngggg day.

My Son Is AMAZING!

Friday we went and had the bot ox shots done, and although Taylor cried his little heart out and screamed over and over he had changed his mind and didn't want to this after all, the needles were pretty tiny and they had rubbed a numbing cream all over the backs of his calves here was no reactions to the drug and surprisingly no bruising either. All great things!!

Yesterday morning we went back to Texas Children's to start the first day of the 9 weeks of casting. Basically, it looks like my son has two broke feet and he is trying to get the hang of walking with two casts. I will take some pictures so you all can see it. I was stressing myself out yesterday, thinking how Taylor would complain constantly about the casts, itching, sweating, etc and was trying to prepare myself for the long 9 weeks we have ahead of us. But my sweet little Taylor was having a ball stomping around the living room with his sister following him around, waiting on him hand and foot.

Children really are amazing aren't they?

Totally Living Up To My "Senior" Title

Today at work I was on the phone and trying to make the person understand the company name I was saying.

She asked me to spell it.

I started with " K as in Cat............."

Crap.
