My Son Is AMAZING!

Friday we went and had the bot ox shots done, and although Taylor cried his little heart out and screamed over and over he had changed his mind and didn't want to this after all, the needles were pretty tiny and they had rubbed a numbing cream all over the backs of his calves here was no reactions to the drug and surprisingly no bruising either. All great things!!

Yesterday morning we went back to Texas Children's to start the first day of the 9 weeks of casting. Basically, it looks like my son has two broke feet and he is trying to get the hang of walking with two casts. I will take some pictures so you all can see it. I was stressing myself out yesterday, thinking how Taylor would complain constantly about the casts, itching, sweating, etc and was trying to prepare myself for the long 9 weeks we have ahead of us. But my sweet little Taylor was having a ball stomping around the living room with his sister following him around, waiting on him hand and foot.

Children really are amazing aren't they?

Nicole, I've been so bad about getting around these days. But I'm so glad to hear that Taylor is doing okay. It broke my heart to read about him not going out to play. See, you just needed a good enough reason to go through with it all and your baby being sad was a good enough reason. I hope it continues to go okay.

What a brave little man! I can understand Taylor being nervous and wanting to change his mind.

So glad things went well, and that he doesn't seem too bothered by the casts.

I have been out of the loop...I am so glad that this went as well as it did for you. People always say that children have an amazing ability to bounce back...you don't really know how true that is until you see one do it. Magnuts broke his leg in two places when he was 2 years old. He was in a cast to his hip for ten weeks...by week 3 he could run in it and by week 7 I was having to tell him to quit jumping off the sofa.

My prayers are with you and Taylor.
